Overview

In this temporary role, you will drive delivery of a major capital investment programme for social housing in Harlow, focusing on refurbishments to occupied council homes. You will work on envelope works already tendered, coordinating with a commercial team and contractors. You will engage with diverse stakeholders to keep projects on schedule and compliant with public sector standards. This is a hands-on, on-site role that supports transforming housing stock while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver on-site building envelope refurbishment works to occupied residential units
  • Coordinate with contractors and the dedicated commercial team
  • Ensure project delivery aligns with the JCT form of contract
  • Manage project schedule, budget, and quality controls
  • Engage with a range of stakeholders including local authorities, housing associations, and residents
  • Monitor risks and mitigations to maintain programme milestones
  • Ensure compliance with public sector procurement and governance processes
  • Provide regular progress reporting to senior stakeholders

Key requirements
