Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Braintree Council to recruit an ICT Project Manager on a full-time basis. This role will coordinate projects within the service, ensuring compliance with corporate processes, supporting the manager with planning, scheduling, documentation and monitoring activities to ensure project milestones are consistently met. The key focus will be on supporting the delivery of the Fit for the Future programme and the Digital Strategy, coordinating stakeholder engagement and liaising with third-party ICT providers.
To be successful in this role you will have experience of working on projects in a local government ICT setting, with an understanding of project management methodologies. You will also need to have excellent business support skills, experience using a wide range of project-management tools and software, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Experience of liaising with external partners and suppliers is a must. Proven experience of working in an IT environment, attention to detail and an ability to monitor budgets is also required.
