Are you ready to embark on a journey into the future of public transport? DigiGo, Essex's premier, on-demand shared public transport service, is on the lookout for enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our team of DigiGo Drivers. We are recruiting for a Seasonal as and when Driver to work a day shift (Start and finish times to be confirmed) on a 1 year fixed term contract.

What You'll Do:

  • Fulfil a vital role in high-profile schemes, providing a personable, dependable, and friendly transport service.
  • Drive our brand new, electric minibuses, contributing to a sustainable future.
  • Get to know your passengers - from students to commuters, older individuals, and those with disabilities.
  • Navigate through diverse landscapes, from suburban areas to scenic rural Essex countryside.

Successful applicants will be invited to attend an in-person interview at The Plaza, Great Notley. Specifics around the working patterns can be discussed further with the interview panel.

What We're Looking For:

  • Hold a valid driving license with a D1 entitlement - essential for the role.
  • Experience working with diverse customer backgrounds and needs.
  • Adaptable and flexible with a calm and professional approach.
  • Ability to work in a timely manner.
  • Proficient in using smartphones and/or tablets.
  • Ability to follow navigation and other instructions from the digital app.
  • Excellent communication and social skills in a customer-based setting.

If successful, you will require:

  • An enhanced DBS check.
  • To undertake training in the use of a specific digital app that is integral to the service.
  • To undertake mandatory training, including Midas.
  • Undertake an Essex County Council Driver's assessment.
