Basildon Council is currently preparing for Local Government Reorganisation (LGR), which will change how councils operate across the area in the coming years.
We are seeking an experienced Tractor Driver to carry out operational tasks across our Parks, Highways, Housing Estates and Landscape areas, covering the complete area of the Basildon Borough as part of the Neighbourhood services team.
Qualifications
- You will need at least 5 years proven experience of operating all size tractors from mini compact tractors to 100 hp large agricultural type.
- Experience of Operating Side arm Flails, rear trailed ganged mowers, Sports Turf machinery, Slitters, Overseeders, Verti Drain, rollers, harrows, Cultivators, Front loaders with bucket/pallet forks.
- Plus experience with towing trailers and heavy loads. Farm work tractor driver experience is equivalent.
- You will also operate Ride on grass cutting mowers and manual machinery including Hedge Trimmers, pedestrian mowers, strimmers, blowers etc.
- You will also assist in other manual tasks such as Tree and shrub planting and general gardening tasks plus litter picking and loading heavy items.
- Working in all weather conditions is essential.
- Health And Safety compliance is a priority at all times.
