Maldon District Council is supporting the recruitment of a temporary HR Support Administrator for a 3-month contract.
Please note that this role will require you to be based on site 3 days per week in the council offices.

The role:
You will be responsible for providing high-quality administrative support across all stages of formal staff consultation. This includes coordinating documentation, arranging meetings, tracking feedback, and issuing outcomes to employees. You will work closely with Directors, Associates, HR colleagues and employees, ensuring clear communication and timely responses throughout the consultation period. You will work alongside the HR Lead to deliver the Transformation programme and will require in-office attendance for a minimum of 3 days per week.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and distributing formal consultation documentation to staff
- Arranging and supporting consultation meetings (including scheduling, materials and follow-up actions)
- Liaising with Directors, Associates and employees to ensure feedback is captured, tracked and responded to
- Supporting the production and issue of new contracts, formal letters and change documentation
- Maintaining accurate records and version-controlled documentation throughout the consultation process
- Providing general administrative support associated with organisational change activity
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in an HR administrative role, experience of change or transformation work would be advantageous but not essential
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels
- Comfortable working at pace and managing multiple priorities
- Able to work flexibly across teams and departments
