All positions will be inclusive of both leisure centres, Waterside Farm Leisure Centre and Runnymede Leisure Centre.
Working Hours: Hours vary inline with service operating times: Monday to Friday 06:30 – 22:30, Saturday 07:00 – 18:30 and Sunday 07:00 – 20:30.
The Opportunity: The Leisure Attendant is responsible for ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and welcoming environment for all leisure centre users. This includes supervising activities, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with daily operations. The role upholds safety regulations, supervises the poolside area, promotes positive user experiences, and contributes to the overall success of the leisure centre.
Accountabilities:
- Supervise swimming pool sessions, identify potential hazards, and take appropriate action in line with Pool Safety Operating Procedures.
- Administer first aid as required.
- Clean internal and external areas and maintain the facilities to a high standard following health and safety procedures at all times.
- Be helpful, polite and courteous, providing excellent customer care at all times.
- Be responsible for erecting, dismantling and storing equipment within the facility/facilities according to the timetable of activities and events.
- Assist with deliveries as instructed, ensuring safe storage of stock.
- Enforce all rules associated with facility use to ensure safety and enjoyment of all customers.
- Report any damaged equipment or building fabric immediately.
- Work at any of Council’s leisure facilities as required.
- Comply with centres operating procedures and be aware of any responsibilities contained therein (e.g. Emergency Action Plan).
