Castle Point Borough Council (in partnership with Essex County Council) is seeking an Education & Engagement Officer – Waste and Recycling.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Castle Point Borough Council residents regarding waste and recycling.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction within the waste and recycling service.
  • Deliver waste projects and drive improvements to the service.
  • Promote waste and recycling at schools, public areas and events.
  • Use Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Power BI.
  • Work with Street Scene colleagues and provide targeted engagement on issues with waste presentation or fly tipping.
  • Engage with managing agents to discuss waste-related matters at their properties.
  • Collaborate closely with the Waste Strategy, Promotions and Performance Officer.

Experience:

  • Previous practical experience working within an engagement/front-line engagement role is essential.
  • Any waste-industry related experience is also desirable.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must hold a valid full UK driving licence.
