Essex County Council are delighted to support Braintree District Council in recruiting 2 Administration Officers on a 6-month contract. Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be required to work on-site, 5 days per week followed by hybrid working after a successful training period. Please note that the successful candidate will be required to obtain a DBS.
The Opportunity:
- To undertake full reviews of all Council Tax Support applications using the Civica Open Revenues system, in accordance with Braintree District Councilβs Council Tax Support Scheme.
- To support customers in respect of enquiries generated by those reviews via email, telephone and face to face.
Role Accountabilities:
- To undertake a review of current applications in our Council Tax Support caseload in accordance with the appropriate scheme.
- To update the customer accounts using the Civica system, to incorporate any changes identified.
- To use the DWP Searchlight system in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Local Authority Support Team and the Benefits Manager.
- Ensure customer income and household details are updated in accordance with the review.
- To ensure the reviews focus on higher-risk, higher-value, and older cases.
- To manage customer enquiries by email, telephone and face to face.
