Are you a caring, organised and calm professional who enjoys supporting young people and making a real difference every day? Lift Maltings is seeking a Student Services Support Officer to provide high-quality welfare, medical and administrative support across the academy. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will play an important part in ensuring students receive the care, guidance and practical support they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
As the academy's lead First Aider, you will provide day-to-day medical support for students, oversee NHS vaccination and immunisation visits, and ensure health-related records and procedures are maintained to the highest standard. You will also be a welcoming first point of contact within Student Services, providing excellent support to students, parents, visitors and colleagues.
Working as part of a dedicated pastoral and administration team, you will help create a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where every student can succeed.
In this role, you will:
- Act as the academy's lead First Aider, providing day-to-day medical support for students.
- Administer medication safely and maintain accurate medical records.
- Coordinate NHS immunisation and vaccination visits.
- Welcome students, parents and visitors to Student Services, providing an excellent customer experience.
- Support attendance, welfare and safeguarding processes.
- Process free school meal applications and maintain confidential student records.
- Work closely with staff, families and external agencies to support student wellbeing.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety and data protection requirements.
About Lift Maltings: Lift Maltings is an 11-16 school based in Witham, Essex. Situated between the cities of Chelmsford and Colchester, the school has 900 students on roll and benefits from a modern, purpose-built site opened in 2011. With excellent transport links to London, our staff and students can take full advantage of the wealth of opportunities the capital provides. Free car parking facilities are available on site.
