Overview

Essex Cares — Saffron Walden, Essex

Salary: £12.53 per hour
Location: ECL Saffron Walden Day Centre, 39 Audley Road, Saffron Walden, CB11 3HD
Hours: Part-time
15 hours – Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 10am – 3pm
17 hours – Tuesday 9.30am – 2.30pm/Thursday and Friday 9.30am – 3.30pm
Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities

As a Learning Disabilities Support Worker, you will join a dedicated team to deliver a personalised plan to support individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism. You will provide a holistic service that fosters independence and self-esteem, promotes social inclusion, and enhances quality of life. You will provide practical, emotional and social support to help customers achieve outcomes such as gaining qualifications, learning to manage money, travelling independently, building social skills, and daily living tasks, personal care, and eating and drinking.

Requirements

Previous experience in the care industry is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided. Travel required across Essex to attend training, work at other centres, and in the community.
