Inclusive Employment - Supporting customers

Location: North Essex, with travel required countywide across Essex

Hours: Full time, 37 hours a week, Monday - Thursday 08:30am - 16:30pm, Friday 08:30am - 16:00pm. Flexibility working outside of the core hours is required, including evenings and weekends.

Contract: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

Do you have experience of working in an employment supportive role? Are you confident working in a target driven environment? Do you want to be part of a great team who help people every day? As an Inclusive Employment Job Coach, you’ll be key in ensuring our customers, who are predominately young adults with an EHCP on a supported internship program, are coached using Training in Systemic Instruction (TSI) methods into employment, volunteering and/or community outcomes dependant on the customer’s choice and their specific employment targets. You will also have the opportunity to support our supported employment customers settle in and sustain their paid employment in a range of different sectors.

About You

You will be responsible for a cohort of customers, ensuring that they are confident to settle into their paid employment and supported internship placement. To be considered for the role of Inclusive Employment Job Coach, you need:

  • Experience of directly supporting young adults with a learning disability and/or autism
  • To be confident in building and maintaining relationships
  • The ability to work and succeed in a target driven environment
  • Good knowledge of the supported internship model
  • Exceptional and adaptable communication skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team, but also on your own initiative
  • A full and valid driving licence with own vehicle to travel
