Inclusive Employment - Supporting customers
Hours: Full time, 37 hours a week, Monday - Thursday 08:30am - 16:30pm, Friday 08:30am - 16:00pm. Flexibility working outside of the core hours is required, including evenings and weekends.
Contract: Fixed-term until 31/03/2027
Do you have experience of working in an employment supportive role? Do you want to be part of a new initiative supporting people every day? ECL is working on behalf of Essex County Council to deliver ‘Connect to Work’ for people who face additional barriers to employment, as part of the Government’s new ‘Get Britain Working’ initiative.
The Connect to Work Employment Consultant will provide end-to-end support for individuals seeking employment, including vocational profiling, job matching and in-work support. You take a person-centred approach to ensure individuals are matched to job roles based on skills and experience. You’ll use your initiative, outstanding communication skills, and pro-active problem-solving ability to ensure successful employment outcomes are delivered and that contractual targets are met.
About You
- A full and valid driving licence with own vehicle to travel
- Experience of delivering to an employment service contract
- Experience working in a target-driven environment in line with KPIs
- To hold, or be working towards, a Supported Employment Diploma Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Experience of directly supporting individuals into employment
- Adaptable communication skills to work with both jobseekers and employers
