Epping Town Council is seeking someone with considerable financial experience to join as the Senior Finance Officer, to support the Town Clerk/RFO with the financial management of the Council. The office is located in Epping Hall, St Johns Road.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer payroll
  • Process VAT returns
  • Manage pension administration
  • Prepare material for year end
  • Handle credit control
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Make payments
  • Produce reports for Council
  • Support Council’s Finance & Bookings Officer

Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of financial management
  • Proficiency with SAGE Payroll
  • Ability to manage key tasks efficiently within strict deadlines
  • Experience working in a small, friendly team environment (preferred)

The post is one day per week (7.25 hours), Wednesday, 8.45am to 5pm, with 1 unpaid hour for lunch.
