We are currently seeking a number of injection moulding setters to join our production team, based at our Kidlington manufacturing site.

Responsibilities

  • Plan ahead for production changes by ensuring they have all the relevant tools, materials and equipment for the next change over.
  • Safely shut down machines at the end of their production runs ensuring all Safe Systems of Work (SSOW's) are followed.
  • Safely remove moulds from machines and return to appropriate safe place.
  • Remove all materials not required for the next job and ensure adequate materials available for next job.
  • Safely install the tool for the next run and ensure that all installations are completed safely and completely.
  • Accurately report on daily performance sheets.
  • Lead by example in the delivery of all work to encourage positive business growth.
  • Maintain the area production quality levels and machine productivity uptime.
  • Process the production run to standard setting requirements and produce product standards to First Off acceptable standard.
  • Optimise the process to ensure that target cycle times and cavitation are achieved or exceeded.
  • Ensure that machines put into production are set in a clean and tidy manner suitable and safe for production operatives.
  • Ensure that all machine monitoring is set with appropriate tolerances to ensure safe repeatability of process.
  • Update the business performance monitoring system with accurate data to validate production.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed completely and accurately.
  • Respond to machine problems to resolve quality, uptime or safety issues.
  • Investigate opportunities to improve SMED, TPM, mould capture, processing efficiencies, material drying & conveyancing, recycling and automation to reduce manual workloads.
  • Ensure the completion of objectives On Time, In Full, To Standard.
  • Completion of weekly IMM fitness for use checks.

  • Experience of working as an injection moulding setter is essential.
  • Formal Injection Moulding Setting Qualifications.
  • Formal Injection Moulding Processing Qualifications.
  • Cranes, lifting and slinging.
  • PPTA
