Procurement Centre of Excellence Manager
Overview
The Procurement Centre of Excellence Manager drives continuous improvement, takes ownership of the global process and ensures operational and financial efficiency. The role oversees procurement reporting to deliver measurable operational and financial benefits and manages process and systems for third-party supplier due diligence, risk, and compliance with comprehensive understanding and ownership of reporting.
Responsibilities
Procurement Reporting and Support
- Develop and maintain robust procurement reporting systems to track operational and financial performance
- Generate regular and ad hoc reports highlighting procurement achievements, financial benefits, and areas for improvement
- Lead the continued enhancement of the procurement reporting toolkit
- Ensure data accuracy and transparency in reporting to support strategic decision-making
- Set up and manage Procurement Key Project and Pipeline Reviews
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to align reporting metrics with financial plans
- Ensure the Procurement Spend Cube, ESG, Benefits Tracker and Benefits Reporting are accurately maintained and refreshed monthly
- Prepare and support monthly regional and global reporting requirements for various stakeholder groups including:
- Regional Procurement Reviews
- Regional Supply Chain Director reports
- Procurement Cost Saving Reports
- ESG and Audit Reporting
- Annual Report
- Own procurement intranet development and maintenance and sharing of information and training materials to support business self-serve
- Lead initiatives to enhance processes, tools, and methodologies associated with procurement compliance and risk management activities
- Manage compliance monitoring to ensure in-scope third-party suppliers are actively reviewed
- Identify non-compliant suppliers and escalate issues as necessary to the Category Leads
- Maintain and update supplier compliance documentation and systems for accurate tracking and reporting
Stakeholder Engagement
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders to adopt new processes and ways of working
- Act as the subject matter expert for procurement tools, processes and reporting, procurement compliance, offering guidance and solutions
- Train and develop operational stakeholders on new or enhanced processes and tools
- Lead communication and change management of process improvements, compliance updates, and financial impact reports to stakeholders at all levels as per the agreed governance timeframes
- Lead initiatives to enhance processes, tools, and methodologies associated with procurement
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process efficiency and effectiveness
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement across teams by providing training and resources
Required skills & experience
- Understanding of procurement processes and tools
- Ability to manage and balance competing multiple priorities and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, cost and employee relations
- Project management experience in a global environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others, by developing working relationships with all levels of the organisation
- Experience of working in a multi-site manufacturing company
- Ability to prioritise and plan
- Degree educated or equivalent – desirable
- Experience working in a global procurement / supply chain function – desirable
- PowerBI report creation and maintenance – desirable
- Prior training experience – desirable
