We are seeking a motivated and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks to deliver goods efficiently and reliably. Your expertise in commercial driving and delivery operations will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo with precision, ensuring proper handling of goods during transit.
- Plan optimal delivery routes to meet schedule deadlines and maximize efficiency.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues and ensure vehicle safety.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or any issues encountered.
- Follow all company policies related to driving hours, safety procedures, and cargo security.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with flatbed trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
- Delivery driver experience preferred, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards applicable to commercial driving.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
