A position has become available for a full-time Sheet Metal Fabricator for a prototype engineering company based in LGC, Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will work a basic hour of 37.5 per week, 7.30am – 4.00pm Monday – Thursday, 7.30am – 1.00pm Friday. Salary will be up to £22.00 per hour + overtime available on a regular basis.

Experience and Person Requirements

  • Solid background of working as a Sheet Metal Fabricator
  • Able to read technical drawings
  • Good grasp of basic numeracy
  • Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure when meeting deadlines
  • Strong team player
  • Physically fit
  • Be a good team worker demonstrating loyalty and commitment to the company and team members
  • Ability to operate different tools, and troubleshoot equipment problems

Role Responsibilities

  • Working within our busy Sheet Metal department you will have experience of operating laser cutting machines, press brakes, turret machines
  • Carrying out final assembly of our product ensuring that the items are finished according to the customer’s specification.
  • Able to work in a fast‑paced environment with fast changing priorities
