Due to continued growth and expansion, we are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Goods In/Out Manager to join a company based in Wirksworth on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on warehouse professional to take ownership of both inbound and outbound logistics operations within a busy manufacturing environment.

You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and finished goods throughout the site, supporting operational performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Goods In/Out Manager

  • Manage all Goods In and Goods Out activities, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, picking and dispatch of products.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory records using MRP, ERP or Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Coordinate transport and daily dispatch schedules to ensure customer orders are delivered on time and in full.
  • Lead, motivate and support warehouse personnel, ensuring workloads are effectively planned and managed.
  • Monitor warehouse performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and workflow.
  • Ensure high standards of health and safety, housekeeping and operational compliance are maintained at all times.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, delivery issues and operational challenges.
  • Work closely with production, purchasing, customer service and senior management teams to support business objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles where appropriate.
  • Ensure OTIF (On Time In Full) targets are consistently achieved and maintained.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Previous experience in a Goods In / Out Manager, Warehouse Manager, Logistics Manager or similar supervisory/management role.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, stock control, goods receipt and dispatch processes.
  • Experience using MRP, ERP or Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of transport planning and coordinating deliveries.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, 5S or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across departments.
  • CPC qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency and customer service.
