We are looking to recruit an experienced Service Controller to join a busy and established service operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual who can effectively coordinate engineers, manage service schedules, and maintain excellent customer communication within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will ideally come from a plant, agricultural, construction equipment, or engineering background. Candidates from an automotive service environment will not be considered for this position.
Key Responsibilities of a Service Controller:
- Coordinate and schedule service engineers and workshop activities.
- Manage daily service operations to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently.
- Liaise with customers regarding service appointments, breakdowns, and repairs.
- Allocate work to engineers and maximise utilisation of resources.
- Monitor job progress and ensure work is completed within agreed timescales.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Work closely with parts, workshop, and service teams to ensure the smooth running of operations.
- Handle customer queries and provide updates on repair status.
- Assist in the planning and administration of preventative maintenance schedules.
