We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment in Somercotes. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role within a fast-paced production setting. This position would suit someone with experience in construction, precast, or another industrial environment involving manual processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the production of concrete blocks
  • General production duties within a manufacturing environment
  • Manual handling and heavy lifting
  • Operating machinery and hand tools
  • Sorting and organising jobs into designated areas
  • Loading and unloading bearers in different production areas
  • Supporting production flow and completing additional duties as required

Please note: This is not a full-time forklift operating role. Counterbalance duties will be part of the job but not the main focus.

Requirements

  • Must hold a refreshed B1 5-tonne Counterbalance licence
  • Experience in precast, construction, or similar manual production environment preferred
  • Basic ability to use hand and power tools
  • Ability to read a tape measure and carry out basic measurements accurately
  • Strong work ethic and reliability

Hours of Work

  • Monday: 6:00am – 4:30pm
  • Tuesday: 6:00am – 4:30pm
  • Wednesday: 6:00am – 4:00pm
  • Thursday: 6:00am – 4:00pm
  • Friday: 6:00am – 3:30pm

Pay

  • £14.12 per hour
  • £19.83 per hour (Saturday rate)
