The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented PCB Assembler to join a local production team at an engineering company producing control panels, wiring looms, telematics and other products. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with experience in electronic assembly who enjoys precision work, follows processes closely, and takes pride in producing high-quality builds. If you have worked in/with electrical assembly, panel wiring, soldering, control panels, wiring looms, telematics or circuit boards your skills would be a perfect fit for this role. Key Responsibilities
- Assembling electronic components and sub-assemblies to specification
- Carrying out precise hand-soldering of small components
- Supporting the build of electrical assemblies and control systems
- Bench-testing assemblies and carrying out basic diagnostic checks
- Inspecting and quality-checking your own work to ensure standards are met
- Working from detailed assembly instructions, drawings, and build documentation
- Accurately completing production records using basic IT systems
- Identifying defects, reporting faults, and raising non-conformities
- Taking part in 5S initiatives and continuous improvement activities
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in electronic assembly, manufacturing, or production
- Confident soldering skills and experience working with small components
- Basic electrical/electronic knowledge (training provided where required)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Strong communication skills and a positive, willing-to-learn attitude
- Comfortable using basic IT systems for documentation
Desirable (but not essential)
- NVQ or equivalent qualification in Electronics or Manufacturing
- Experience with bench testing or fault-finding
- Background in bespoke, low-volume, or high-mix assembly environments
