This is a key role for my client which comprises full responsibility for the end-to-end design of secure, resilient, highly-available and scalable IT infrastructure, including the definition and implementation of secure by design principles across the Enterprise. Your architectural skills must span both IT Infrastructure and Cyber Security domains.
Role and responsibilities:
- Lead the design of infrastructure and security architectures across the Enterprise
- Build security into architectural designs across all aspects of IT infrastructure (network, applications, data, endpoint etc)
- Design and build scalable, highly available solutions across the entire Azure infrastructure
- Design and implement effective solutions for IAM, network segmentation, encryption and key management challenges
- Take the lead on Azure cloud and infrastructure design
Skills and Experience:
- Significant experience in an Infrastructure Architect role, designing Azure cloud-based solutions
- Specific experience in the design of Security architecture which must include IAM (SSO, MFA) and network security (firewalls, WAF, VPN)
- Detailed knowledge of Cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure in a Microservices setting
- Substantial experience of working with TOGAF or similar architectural frameworks
- IT Security certification would be ideal (CISSP, CISM, CCSP etc)
This is a senior role which will require the ability to communicate complex architectural plans and strategies to a wide variety of audiences so your communications skills must be strong. The ability to oversee delivery, inspire your colleagues/ peers and manage solution development with clear priorities will also be needed.
