An experienced Lead BI Developer is urgently required by my client with significant experience of designing, building, implementing and maintaining robust data solutions on Azure SQL and BI platforms. Strong knowledge of ADF, Azure Data Lakes, Azure SQL and Synapse Analytics will be needed, along with experience of designing data pipelines (ETL/ ELT). Experience of technical leadership will also be required.
Lead BI Developer Role and Responsibilities:
- Development and maintenance of the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence system infrastructure
- Gather, interpret and develop reporting requirements through working in partnership with business leads
- Develop and drive actionable insights from our data sources to support senior management decision-making
- Conducting data quality checks while ensuring data integrity and accuracy across all spectrums before implementing findings
- Lead a team of specialist BI staff to develop reports, visualisations and presentations to communicate strategic findings
Lead BI Developer Skills and Experience:
- Significant experience of with ADF, Azure Data Lakes, Azure SQL and Synapse Analytics
- In-depth understanding of SQL development and Power BI
- Detailed experience with designing ETL data pipelines processes and data warehousing in a CI/ CD environment
- Experience of presenting complex data effectively through the use of data visualisation techniques
- Experience of leading a team of BI Development staff
- Understanding of data quality and ability to prepare data for analysis
