We are looking for enthusiastic Machine Operators to join a European leader in the recycling and plastics industry. These are excellent opportunities to join a local employer of choice and could lead to ongoing work. Training will be provided.

Working Hours

  • Rotational shift pattern 4 on (2 days and 2 nights 6am – 6pm and 6pm – 6am) 4 off
  • Hourly Rate £13.25p/h – increasing to £14.72p/h after 12 weeks

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify and report any machine defects/problems to the Team Leader/Production Manager
  • Operating machinery and any other equipment
  • Placing finished goods onto pallets at high frequency and assisting with packing products
  • Ensuring PPE is worn at all times
  • Operating first line maintenance on machinery where required
  • General housekeeping within departments and ensuring a good level is maintained
  • Operation of conveyor belts and metal detectors (in certain departments)
  • Completion of associated paperwork
  • Manual handling where required

Experience/Skills Required

  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work unsupervised and be able to use own initiative
  • Positive attitude towards health and safety and training
