Essential recruitment is currently looking to recruit a warehouse quality controller due to continued growth and expansion at our client in Burton. The ideal candidate must have a good eye for detail, be self‑motivated and be able to work under minimum supervision. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding company on a temporary to permanent basis.

Daily Tasks:

  • Responsible for the visual inspection and sampling of inbound raw and bulk materials for H&B Own‑Brand and Co‑Manufacture
  • Liaising with suppliers and customers to ensure that the correct documentation for inbound deliveries is received in a timely manner
  • Ensure documentation is accurately completed and any agreed deviations are clearly documented
  • Investigation and reporting of damages to suppliers, including raising claims for quantity discrepancies
  • Maintaining the sampling area to a GMP standard and abiding by our Clean as you go policy
  • Supporting the warehouse and production operations
  • Adhering to all site, Health & Safety, and Food Safety Standards
  • Using Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft packages

Skills Required:

  • Must be able to communicate with internal and external teams
  • Must be able to work as an individual and as part of a team
  • Level 2 Food Safety or above preferred but not essential as training will be given
  • Introduction to HACCP or above preferred but not essential as training will be given
  • Must be able to keep a well‑maintained working area (GMP standard)
  • Must possess good time management skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 10:00-18:00

Pay Rate: £14.25
