A Senior Property Lawyer is needed to be the main Legal Resource on our programme of disposal of Council Property Assets. You will need to be able to work as part of the Property Law Team, reporting to the Client's Senior Commercial Property Solicitor and work closely with other officers from other Departments to deliver the project, notably the Assets Transformation Lead - Commercial Property.
The Project involves the disposal of various assets over the next 12–18 months potentially including disposals subject to occupational leases or disposals where advice on securing vacant possession may be required. This will require skills such as:
- Drafting bespoke property contracts
- Knowledge of restrictions and restrictive covenants
- Drafting TP1s and TR1s
- Knowledge of easements and rights of way
- Dealing with purchasers due diligence enquiries
- Ability to negotiate and take instructions
It is envisaged the placement will be at least 6 months, likely to be extended. This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
