Assistant Contract Manager needed in Plymouth. This is a temporary role and the rate is £17.47ph.

The successful candidate will support the effective day-to-day management of a major Residual Waste Treatment Contract, ensuring smooth operations, strong communication and consistent performance across all parties involved.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor contractor activity against key performance indicators, identify emerging issues and escalations.
  • Support accurate monthly and annual reporting.
  • Assist with financial oversight, including cost monitoring, invoice validation and maintenance of well-organised contract records.
  • Build positive working relationships with contractors and partner organisations, help resolve operational challenges and ensure reliable information flow.
  • Uphold health, safety, environmental and legislative requirements; support audits and inspections.
