Childcare Lawyer needed in Bury (Paying £55 per hr) on a temporary basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a varied caseload of public law childcare matters, including care proceedings, supervision orders and emergency protection orders.
- Represent the authority in Family Courts, including contested hearings.
- Provide timely legal advice to Children’s Social Care and other internal stakeholders.
- Draft legal documentation, statements and court applications.
- Advise on pre‑proceedings under the Public Law Outline (PLO).
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, guidance and case law.
- Work collaboratively with social workers, managers and partner agencies.
- Contribute to service development and continuous improvement.
