Childcare Lawyer needed in Bury (Paying £55 per hr) on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload of public law childcare matters, including care proceedings, supervision orders and emergency protection orders.
  • Represent the authority in Family Courts, including contested hearings.
  • Provide timely legal advice to Children’s Social Care and other internal stakeholders.
  • Draft legal documentation, statements and court applications.
  • Advise on pre‑proceedings under the Public Law Outline (PLO).
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, guidance and case law.
  • Work collaboratively with social workers, managers and partner agencies.
  • Contribute to service development and continuous improvement.
