Information Rights Officer – FOI needed in Stafford, at £23.37ph PAYE – Reference: 5286278

Hybrid Working Requirement: Willing and able to work in a hybrid pattern, attending the office in Stafford at least two days per week (in addition to remote working).

You will ideally have:

  • Demonstrable experience in an information governance role, with detailed legal knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act (FOI), Environmental Information Regulations (EIR), Data Protection Act, and related legislation.
  • Ideally, holds an ISEB professional certificate in Freedom of Information.
  • Able to organise and manage a busy and demanding workload and motivate/support colleagues as needed.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experienced in researching, interpreting, and presenting legal decisions and case law; able to manage exemptions and public interest tests and present to service leads/stakeholders.
  • Provides expert, legally compliant advice and interpretation of legislation and policy.

This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
