Business Support Officer needed in Southampton. Paying £13.68 per hr on a temporary basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and update details of service exchanges accurately on relevant electronic and paper-based systems.
- Create, maintain, and update online and manual registers and record systems.
- Act as part of an overflow call queue, taking messages, identifying urgent issues, and escalating or taking appropriate action.
- Liaise with a wide range of professionals including internal teams, hospitals, GP surgeries, and external partner organisations.
- Use email systems, diaries, and other IT platforms to record messages, aid communication, and keep information accurate and up to date.
- Support senior resourcing staff and provide cover for business support colleagues across teams when required.
- Assist budget holders with monthly budget monitoring activities and the pricing of reports.
- Process financial transactions using Business World, including monitoring deliveries and reconciling invoices against purchase orders.
- Create, maintain, and update service user files to the required standard, including managing destruction dates and undertaking file culling.
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity to support performance reporting and service monitoring requirements.
- Undertake word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation work to produce correspondence, reports, and statistical information.
- Receive, distribute, and monitor incoming and outgoing mail in line with organisational standards.
- Complete general office duties including filing, scanning, photocopying, and use of standard office equipment.
