We are seeking a seasoned Senior Engineer with strong leadership experience in transportation infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in road traffic, safety legislation, and technical standards (DMRB, CoP, CDM), with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage highway structure assets, including bridges and retaining walls, developing maintenance programs, funding bids, and supervising inspection programs.
- Lead and manage delivery of schemes across various values within the Transportation Capital Investment Programme, monitoring budgets and liaising with the Transportation Infrastructure Service.
- Represent the Service on working groups, forums, and partnerships.
- Utilize technical data to prepare cost estimates, specifications, drawings, contract documents, bills of quantities, and schedules of work.
- Provide consultancy advice and produce technical reports for stakeholders.
- Develop briefs, oversee detailed design, and coordinate with other service units, agencies, and partners to foster cooperation and deliver customer-focused services.
