Senior Area Facilities Officer needed in South East London Paying £24.43 per day ref OR116355 Full time hours on a temporary basis Key Responsibilities Ensure buildings are maintained to a high standard and remain safe, compliant, and fit for purpose. Monitor, manage, and review contractors responsible for cleaning, security, maintenance, grounds maintenance, and other support services. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify maintenance requirements, health and safety issues, and compliance concerns. Oversee planned preventative maintenance programmes and coordinate reactive repairs. Ensure compliance with statutory obligations including fire safety, asbestos management, water hygiene, electrical testing, and health and safety legislation. Manage facilities budgets, authorise expenditure, and monitor costs to ensure value for money. Investigate and resolve building-related complaints and service issues. Prepare reports, performance data, and recommendations for senior management. Maintain accurate records of inspections, contracts, risk assessments, and compliance activities. Support emergency planning and business continuity arrangements. Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, contractors, and external agencies to ensure service delivery standards are achieved. Supervise and support facilities staff where required.
