We are seeking an experienced Housing Benefits Assessor to join our team, responsible for evaluating Housing Benefit and Council Tax reduction claims.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrable experience in processing all types of Housing Benefit/Council Tax Reduction claims.
- Extensive knowledge of the “Academy” Benefits system.
- Current understanding of Housing Benefit legislation and the ability to apply it accurately to individual cases.
- A proactive and customer-oriented approach to resolving inquiries.
Responsibilities will encompass all areas, including:
- New claims and changes in circumstances.
- Assessment of student claims, claims from individuals from abroad, and self-employed claims.
- Working with VEP, ATLAS, and Universal Credit files.
- Experience with temporary accommodation and supported exempt accommodation claims is desirable.
This role offers the opportunity for remote working.
