Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain accurate records for Council Tax, Business Rates, and Sundry Debt accounts, including applying exemptions, discounts, and reliefs.
- Process billing and authorise invoices raised by internal departments.
- Take secure card payments and investigate unallocated payments to ensure accurate account allocation.
- Keep up to date with relevant legislation and internal procedures.
- Assist in the prevention and detection of fraud, referring suspicious cases to the fraud team.
- Set up and manage Direct Debits, handle sensitive financial data securely, and reconcile banking reports.
- Liaise with external providers, including managing swipe card reports.
