Highways Technician needed in Preston, £16.91ph PAYE – Reference: 5297350.
Responsible for highway inspections, assessments and analysis required to identify works for delivery in line with relevant policies and procedures. To provide information and advice to customers to a high standard and within the service level timescales.
Planning and delivering highway works to appropriate standards, efficiently and safely. Be aware of the available highway budgets and contribute to delivering works efficiently and within budget. Contribute to the delivery of Key Performance Indicators and agreed service level agreements.
To work collaboratively and flexibly ensuring a consistent approach to service delivery. Delivering the out of hours service including the winter maintenance service and responding to emergencies at any time ensuring they are dealt with in a prompt, competent and safe manner.
Supervision of repair teams to ensure safe and effective use of labour, plant and materials to deliver quality highway works. This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
