Planning Enforcement Officer needed in Portsmouth Paying £31.30 per hr ref 5303115
Full time hours on a temporarybasis
- Investigate alleged breaches of planning control and planning legislation.
- Manage a caseload of enforcement investigations from initial complaint through to resolution.
- Carry out site visits, gather evidence, and assess whether breaches have occurred.
- Liaise with residents, developers, businesses, councillors, and other stakeholders regarding enforcement matters.
- Negotiate solutions to achieve compliance with planning regulations.
- Prepare enforcement reports, case files, notices, and supporting documentation.
- Use formal enforcement powers where necessary and work closely with Legal Services on complex cases.
- Ensure developments comply with planning permissions, conditions, and relevant legislation.
- Maintain accurate records and provide a high-quality, customer-focused enforcement service.
