Highway Inspector needed in Plymouth, £15.56ph PAYE - Reference: OR21947

Responsible for inspecting works carried out on the public highway, ensuring compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Highways Act 1980, and associated codes of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake inspections, monitoring and supervision of highway works ensuring statutory compliance
  • Undertake ad-hoc inspections/site visits as directed by the Network Manager
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of inspection findings
  • Report unsafe or non-permitted works and initiate enforcement action where necessary
  • Respond to complaints and service requests within agreed timeframes

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
