Job Details
To provide high‑quality, confidential, and effective administrative and practical support to a social worker who has a disability, enabling them to carry out their professional duties efficiently. The postholder will help remove barriers to work, support reasonable adjustments, and ensure the smooth organisation of tasks, communication, and workload demands within the social care team.
Main Duties
- Manage email inbox organisation, calendar planning, and scheduling of appointments and meetings.
- Prepare documents, case notes, reports, and correspondence to a high professional standard.
- Support with minute‑taking, follow‑up actions, and meeting coordination.
- Support with maintenance of confidential case files in line with safeguarding, GDPR, and policies.
- Assist with workload planning, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring key statutory timescales are tracked.
- Provide practical assistance with tasks impacted by the social worker’s disability (e.g., navigation of documents, structuring workloads, accessing information systems).
- Support the use of assistive technology or adapted working methods.
- Help organise workspace materials or digital resources in an accessible format.
- Facilitate access to meetings (virtual or in‑person), including note‑taking and summarising key information where required.
- Assist with preparing case documentation, compiling information, and organising multi‑agency records.
- Liaise with internal colleagues, partner agencies, and service users on behalf of the social worker, where appropriate and delegated.
- Support in processing referrals, updating records, and tracking case progression.
- Promote a person‑centred, inclusive, and professional approach at all times.
- Uphold confidentiality and demonstrate excellent judgement.
- Work flexibly and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Undertake any other duties as directed from time‑to‑time to meet the requirements of the Social Worker and service.
This is a full‑time role on a temporary basis.
