Planning Officer needed in Nuneaton. Paying £19.32 per hr, ref 5298219. Full time hours on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process all types of planning applications, including:
    • Registration and consultation
    • Negotiations with applicants and agents
    • Exercising delegated authority
    • Preparing written statements for appeals
    • Presenting evidence at hearings
  • Deal with the discharge of planning conditions and monitor implementation of developments.
  • Undertake consultations and negotiations, including matters relating to Section 106 Agreements.
  • Present reports and applications to Planning Applications Committee when required.
  • Attend public meetings and represent the service as necessary.
  • Process Tree Preservation Orders, applications for works to trees, and matters relating to High Hedges legislation and anti-social behaviour concerns.
  • Develop a working knowledge of related service areas including Building Control and Planning Policy.
  • Provide professional advice and excellent customer service to residents, developers and stakeholders.
