Planning Officer needed in Nuneaton. Paying £19.32 per hr, ref 5298219. Full time hours on a temporary basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process all types of planning applications, including:
- Registration and consultation
- Negotiations with applicants and agents
- Exercising delegated authority
- Preparing written statements for appeals
- Presenting evidence at hearings
- Deal with the discharge of planning conditions and monitor implementation of developments.
- Undertake consultations and negotiations, including matters relating to Section 106 Agreements.
- Present reports and applications to Planning Applications Committee when required.
- Attend public meetings and represent the service as necessary.
- Process Tree Preservation Orders, applications for works to trees, and matters relating to High Hedges legislation and anti-social behaviour concerns.
- Develop a working knowledge of related service areas including Building Control and Planning Policy.
- Provide professional advice and excellent customer service to residents, developers and stakeholders.
