Bereavement Services Operative needed in Nottingham. This is a temporary role and the rate is £14.82ph.
The successful candidate will undertake a range of duties across cemeteries, with a primary focus on grounds maintenance, including:
- Grass cutting
- Strimming
- Hedge maintenance
- Litter clearance
- Upkeep of cemetery landscapes to a high standard
The role may also include supporting Bereavement Services operations through:
- Grave digging
- Sexton duties
- Memorial safety inspections
- Ensuring cemeteries remain safe, respectful, and well-maintained environments for visitors
The postholder will regularly interact with members of the public, funeral directors, contractors, and other stakeholders, providing a professional and sensitive service while supporting the effective discharge of statutory bereavement service functions. The role operates on a rota basis when required and may include weekend working and later shifts providing operational cover up to 7:00 pm.
