Principal Officer needed in Salford Paying £26.78 per hr ref 000A F290 / 1 Full time hours on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and produce strategic housing plans, and establish frameworks to monitor delivery of associated action plans.
  • Facilitate housing partnerships and governance forums, working closely with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and delivery of local, regional, and sub-regional priorities.
  • Work with partners across Greater Manchester to support the delivery of regional and sub-regional strategic housing initiatives.
  • Represent strategic housing services at internal and external meetings.
  • Assess the impact of national and regional housing legislation, policy, and guidance, as well as wider cross-cutting strategic priorities, ensuring appropriate strategy and policy responses.
  • Respond to national, regional, and local consultations on housing-related issues.
  • Undertake research, data collection, and analysis to inform housing needs assessments and provide an evidence base for strategy and policy development.
  • Lead engagement and co-production with people with lived experience and key stakeholders to inform and strengthen strategic housing plans.
  • Work closely with key information holders to ensure statutory statistical returns are prepared and submitted accurately and within required timescales to relevant government departments.
