Overview
Seeking an experienced candidate for an initial duration of 3 months; however, this is likely to be extended.
Responsibilities
- You will bring experience from a similar role, ideally involving the coordination of specialist transport for children and young people with SEND.
- You will feel confident managing safeguarding concerns, following the correct procedures and guidance, including making referrals to the LADO when needed.
- You must be able to meet the requirements for an Enhanced DBS check.
- You will work closely with the team to manage staffing and resources, making practical decisions that keep our SEND home-to-school transport service running smoothly.
- You are happy to be flexible, which may occasionally include supporting colleagues or working outside normal office hours to meet the needs of the service.
- You will follow Salford Council policies, as well as all relevant national guidance, to ensure the service is safe and compliant.
- You will support the team in handling complaints, using your experience, problem-solving skills and calm, diplomatic approach to find positive and practical solutions.
