Homelessness Officer needed in Macclesfield. Paying £15.84 per hr, ref 5290486. Full time hours on a temporary basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed Section 184 homelessness assessments in line with legislation and statutory guidance.
- Provide specialist housing advice to residents facing homelessness or housing difficulties.
- Develop and manage personalised Housing Plans (PHPs) to prevent or relieve homelessness.
- Work closely with partner agencies, including social care, domestic abuse services, private landlords, supported housing, and voluntary organisations.
- Maintain accurate case records using the council’s case management system.
- Make decisions on priority need, intentionality, local connection, and eligibility.
- Identify support needs and make referrals to relevant support or safeguarding agencies.
- Attend multi-agency meetings where required to support vulnerable clients.
- Explore creative housing solutions to maintain tenancies or secure suitable accommodation.
