Street Lighting Engineer needed in Camden, Β£27.63ph PAYE β Reference: RQ1682803.
Responsibilities include:
- Taking responsibility for the professional and customer focused management of the Street Lighting function as well as contractors as necessary.
- Taking a lead role in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of all public lighting systems and maintenance.
- Providing an out of hours highway emergency service.
- Managing and reporting on an allocated budget associated with the role.
- Helping define the strategic direction of the service incorporating corporate objectives to ensure the service delivers value for money.
- Managing the maintenance and installation of public lighting on the highway.
- Monitoring the workflow and ensuring a regular work programme.
- Ensuring that all work is carried out according to the specification.
- Supervising external contractors.
- Taking responsibility for the financial management of public lighting.
- Liaising with the Asset Management team and providing information as required to maintain an up-to-date record of highway assets.
- Maintaining an awareness of current legislation and technical developments relating to these services and advising senior management on how they affect service delivery.
This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
