Key Responsibilities
- Professional Valuation Work
- Undertake valuations for a range of purposes including:
- Red Book valuations
- Asset valuations
- Portfolio reviews
- Insurance valuations
- Acquisitions and disposals
- Prepare detailed professional reports in accordance with RICS Standards.
- Estate & Asset Management
- Manage a mixed portfolio (commercial, operational, investment, land).
- Undertake rent reviews, lease renewals, re-gears and negotiations with tenants and landlords.
- Provide asset management advice to improve performance and value.
- Strategic Property Work
- Support the development and delivery of asset strategies, investment plans, and property rationalisation programmes.
- Assist with feasibility studies, options appraisals and viability assessments.
- Acquisitions & Disposals
- Provide valuation support for land and property transactions.
- Lead on negotiations with external parties.
- Prepare briefing papers, reports and recommendations for senior officers and committees (if applicable).
- Professional and Team Responsibilities
- Provide mentoring, guidance or informal supervision to junior surveyors or apprentices (where applicable).
- Ensure compliance with RICS regulatory requirements and professional standards.
- Maintain accurate financial and property records.
- Represent the service at internal and external meetings.
