Job Description Housing Lawyer needed in South East London Paying Β£38.43 per hr ref OR112307 Full time hours on a temporary basis Manage a caseload of housing litigation matters from inception through to conclusion, including rent arrears, service charge recovery, leasehold disputes, and housing benefit appeals. Review, prepare, and authorise legal documentation for court and tribunal proceedings. Provide timely legal advice and support to operational teams on housing-related issues and disputes. Make informed decisions on legal strategy, identifying and mitigating financial, operational, and reputational risks. Work closely with internal stakeholders and external legal representatives to progress cases effectively. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and procedural requirements. Support managers and colleagues by monitoring legislative developments and communicating changes in legal requirements and best practice. Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and governance frameworks relating to housing litigation and income recovery. Provide training and guidance to colleagues on housing law and litigation processes.
