About the Role
As Principal Transport Planner (Active Travel), you will lead the strategic planning, development and delivery of major active travel schemes and programmes.
You will play a key role in shaping transport networks that encourage sustainable travel choices, improve public health outcomes and support ambitious environmental goals.
Working across a diverse portfolio of projects, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality infrastructure, provide strategic transport planning expertise and ensure active travel considerations are embedded throughout development and regeneration programmes.
The role offers significant responsibility for securing and managing investment, sponsoring complex projects, managing consultants and external operators, and providing expert advice to senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of major active travel projects, including cycling, walking and micromobility initiatives.
