Principal Traffic Engineer needed in North London. Paying £29.20 per hr. Full time hours on a temporary basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of traffic engineering and highway schemes.
- Provide expert technical advice on traffic management, road safety, and transport planning matters.
- Manage projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery within budget and programme.
- Undertake traffic assessments, analysis, and modelling to support decision-making.
- Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, drawings, and contract documentation.
- Manage consultants and contractors, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and policies.
- Support the development of traffic regulation orders, parking schemes, and highway improvement projects.
- Engage with residents, businesses, elected members, and other stakeholders on transport-related initiatives.
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technical staff.
- Contribute to strategic transport and highway planning objectives.
