Job Description Development Control Engineer needed in North London Paying Β£22.79 per hr ref OR114195 Full time hours on a temporary basis. Development Management Assess planning applications and associated transport documentation, including Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and Road Safety Audits. Provide professional highway and transportation advice on planning applications and development proposals. Review development layouts to ensure compliance with relevant design standards, policies, and guidance. Negotiate amendments to development proposals to achieve acceptable highway and transportation outcomes. Recommend planning conditions, obligations, and mitigation measures where required. Highway Design and Technical Assessment Evaluate the impact of developments on the existing highway network. Assess highway design submissions, junction layouts, access proposals, parking provision, and sustainable transport measures. Review drainage, street lighting, traffic management, and highway infrastructure proposals. Ensure designs comply with national and local standards, including relevant highway specifications and design guides. Identify and recommend appropriate highway improvements associated with new developments.
