Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of Adult Social Care law, particularly under the Care Act 2014.
- Manage Court of Protection applications under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Advise on Mental Health Law, supporting Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHPs) and related court work.
- Handle adult safeguarding matters, offering clear and pragmatic legal guidance.
- Advise on and manage ordinary residence disputes between local authorities.
- Represent the organisation at hearings, both remotely and in person where required by the court.
